For writing a successful CDR you should go through the formats provided by the Engineers Australia(EA). you have to understand the guidelines for writing CDR carefully.
Now i am giving you the guidelines related to the format for CDR writing which will help you to write a successful CDR.
CDR has mainly four vital sections i.e. curriculum vitae, continuing professional development, Three carrier episodes, summary statement.
- Curriculum vitae- This section refers to your resume in which your qualification, skills, achivements, experiences, personal details should be mention. This section should be completed in minimum 2 pages and maximum 3 pages according to reccomendations.
- Continuing Professional Developement- This section consists of details of your present designation i.e. where you are working currently and about your current experience and skills. you have to mention your current position and working experience that you are continuing currently. The length of this section should be around 1000 words.
- Three Carrier Episodes- This section refers to three critical episodes of your carrier . Here you have to mention three critical situations that has occured in your carrier which shows your contigency skills, Risk management skills, leadership skills etc. so this part is the most effective section which shows your overall skills. In this section, the length of each of three episodes should be around 2000 words.
- Summary Statement- This section is the summary of the overall details that you have mentioned in the above three sections. In this section you have to mention main points about your skills, experiences, designations etc that you have mentioned in the above sections as a summary. here nothing more to describe, so its length should be in between 500 to 600 words.
